Set DNS Mail Record

By purchasing the PRO version of your site with DNS Service, you can decide whether to keep your mailboxes on the current Provider or to activate the five 5 GB mailboxes each included in your Professional account.

If you want to use our mail service, you will also need to change the following Records:

CNAME record

In the Host name field you must enter mail and in CNAME enter the value: mail.MYDOMAIN.cust.a.hostedemail.com (example: mail.example.com.cust.a.hostedemail.com)

MX record

You will have to leave blank (or enter @) the Host name field and in MX Record enter mx.MYDOMAIN.cust.a.hostedemail.com (example: mx.example.com.cust.a.hostedemail.com)

Important: always remember to replace MYDOMAIN with your domain name. For example: Domain name -> example.com > CNAME record to insert: mail.example.com.cust.a.hostedemail.com > MX record to insert: mx.example.com.cust.a.hostedemail.com

Tip: We recommend that you always make a backup of old emails, if you have already active mailboxes with the provider. The indicated configuration inhibits any other functioning of the email boxes in your provider, and allows you to use our system to send and receive emails.
